Dear all



We are pleased to inform that our 4th Malakoff Annual Charity Ride 2009 will be held from 8 to 10 May 2009.

With an anticipated 100 participants cum cyclists from all over the country, the Malakoff Annual Charity Ride 2009 is planned to commence in Kedah on 8 May 2009 and culminate in Krabi, Thailand on 10 May 2009, covering a route of approximately 450 km.



The Charity Ride is a unique marriage of a sporting event and fund-raiser in support of local communities and the under-privileged under the Malakoff Community Partnership (MCP) initiative.



For the last 3 years, the Ride had assisted a number of communities and orphanages in meeting the challenges that they face, raising a total of RM155,400.00 through the generous contributions of donor companies/participants. The fund raised was distributed to 24 orphanages located along the routes of the Ride in the States of Selangor, Pahang, Terengganu, Negri Sembilan and Kelantan. For this year, the recipients of the funds will be orphanages located in the States of Perlis and Kedah. In addition, Malakoff also contributes approximately RM50,000.00 per year to organize the Ride. Attached please find a `snap-shot' of the Ride for the past 3 years for your reference.
